Is the ASTRO A50X Really the Best Gaming Headset of 2025? I Tested It in 11 Games

The video is in Arabic.

Hey everyone,

This is my review of the ASTRO A50X, a wireless gaming headset with a base station that has HDMI outputs for Xbox and PlayStation and an input for PC. I tried it with 11 games. The headset belongs to my brother Rashed, God bless him.

Who is it for?

• Gamers who want a wireless headset for gaming, movies and podcasts.

Strengths

• For gaming the stage is wide and deep, distance cues are exceptional, and the realism of the sounds is scary.
• Details are clear, and the 3D feel is really excellent.
• The pads are comfortable and don’t get hot, even over long sessions.

Weaknesses

• The Game EQ presets take away the realism and make some sounds harsh, like breaking glass.
• The build is 80 to 90% plastic, which doesn’t match the price, and the cups are small and touch the ear.
• For music, it doesn’t really work for me.

Verdict

If gaming is your main use and you want a wireless headset, it’s one of the excellent options. If wired is enough for you, there are cheaper options that perform better.

Note: this review is from 2025, so the price may have changed.
